Harmonics Analysis Studies

With new computer technology including “power factor correcting” light ballasts, Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s) and other variable speed devices in our power systems, there is an ever increasing potential for harmonic distortion. These harmonic considerations can have adverse effects on other equipment not designed to deal with it. Power quality systems with major harmonic sources commonly add harmonic filters or other means of mitigation, however complex engineering studies utilizing systems analysis software and other equipment is a must. Grounding Studies

Regardless of where you may be in the country, effective grounding is a serious concern. Performing a grounding study prior to installation or during the design stages is well worth the money spent. We can perform ground service testing of the soil conditions that provides us with data to help in the design of the grounding system. The studies can also be used to identify the most effective ground system for minimizing step and touch potential hazards. Grounding studies are also performed on existing systems to identify degredation and other issues that occur with grounding system ifrastructures throughout their life cycle.
