Fall of Potential
Fall of Potential
Per IEEE Standard No 81, The “Fall of Potential” method consists of plotting the voltage over current to arrive over at the resistance. The potential electrode (V) is moved away from the ground rod under test in steps. The value of impedance is obtained at each step and plotted as a function of distance and measured in the value of ohms. At this point, the information can be plotted until the curve appears to level out.
